Conrad Fair (August 21, 1806-September 1 1890);

Born in Maryland
Died in Marshall County, West Virginia
Conrad was the first known family member to leave the German Lutheran Church. He became an early follower of Alexander Campbell in the Disciples of Christ Church. Campbell formed his church in Bethany, West Virginia. It is thought that Conrad was in Bethany working at a grist mill owned by the husband of his sister Barbara at the time.
Conrad left Bethany and relocated in Washington County, Pennsylvania, where he married Rebecca Kern and where their first two children were born.
