William Richard “Bill” Ruffaner

William Richard “Bill” Ruffaner, 70, of Worthington died Sunday, April 23, 2006, at Armstrong County Memorial Hosptial, East Franklin Township.
He was born Feb. 8, 1936, in Garretts Run to William John and Bertha Viola (Brown) Ruffaner.
He was retired from Preston Trucking and most recently worked for Point Security at Butler Memorial Hospital. He was an Army veteran, serving in Korea. He attended Ford City High School.
He enjoyed being at home and spending time with his friends at his home along Buffalo Creek.
Survivors include two nephews, Larry John Ruffaner and wife Dollie, of Patterson, Mo., and Ronald Joseph Ruffaner, of Kittanning; one niece, Susan (Ruffaner) Gahagan and husband Gary, of Freeport; one great-nephew, John Joseph Ruffaner, of Missouri; two great-nieces Erica Ruffaner, of Pittsburgh, and Danielle Ruffaner, of Beaver Falls; and one sister-in-law, Beverly (Montgomery) Ruffaner, of Kittanning. Bill will also be greatly missed by longtime friends, Don Walls and wife Tammy and their children, Joseph, Cody, Emily and late twins, Don Jr. and Scott, as well as Jon Brice and family. Bill leaves behind many, many friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Larry James “Butch” Ruffaner.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m Wednesday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, Inc., 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Rev. John Snyder of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, East Franklin Township.
