Mary Jane (Bauer) Bowser, 86, formerly of Worthington, died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 30, 1922, in West Franklin Township, a daughter of the late Harry L. Bauer and Ocie (Swartzlander) Bauer. She was a homemaker who also worked in the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital Emergency Room, Big River Manufacturing and Ames Department Store. She was a member of Center Hill Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed crafts and sewing. She is survived by her two daughters, Karen Grafton and her husband, Paul, of Worthington, and Mary Streightif and her husband, Ron, of Walkchalk; three sons, William Bowser, of Macedonia, Ohio, Richard R. Bowser and his wife, Linda, of Butler, and Kenneth K. Bowser and his wife, Jean, of Fenelton; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Anna Mae Anderson, of Butler, Dorthea Cochrane, of Vienna, Ohio, Olive Best, of Emelton, and Joyce Knight, of Knox; brother, Ross Bauer, of Franklin; sister-in-law, JoAn Fair, of Kittanning; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralston W. "Punk" Bowser, who died in March 2004; sister, Verna Flick; and an infant brother. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, Worthington. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Center Hill Church of the Brethren, with one hour of additional viewing prior to the service at the church. Officiating will be the Rev.
