- FACTS: Henry was the second son and immigrated to America from the Palatinate in 1754 unaccompanied on ship Brothers, Captain William Muir, Master. He stayed with cousins in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania until 1760. After accumulating some means he returned to Germany for a short visit and there married Maria Fried, undoubtedly a friend of his childhood for the old map of Grafenau gives Fried Street and Grafenau Street running diagonal. We also see several plots of acreage in close proximity, belonging to Fried. They settled in Neuwied, Germany.
